Formally the private residence of Mr. Theodore Holdengarde – The Nesbitt Castle was restored and re-opened as a boutique hotel in 1990 by Mr Digby Nesbitt.
Medieval architecture with signature crenulations and ramparts echo an era when romance and chivalry were the hallmark of hospitality. That gracious ethos remains the signature of Nesbitt Castle today.
We love this hotel, and it makes for an ideal overnight stop to break the trip between Great Zimbabwe and Hwange National Park.
Due to its history, it is also definatley worth doing an overnight before heading onto to Matobo National Park.
This hotel is accessible by road.
